Innovation in Delivering Public Services Seminar

In the current economic climate it is vital that the public sector is able to deliver more with less. The Croke Park agreement is starting to deliver savings as services are reformed. However, we must continue to find new ways of delivering services to the citizen that are more efficient, delivering cost savings to government as well as better public services overall.

This seminar, part of the eolas magazine ICT Innovation Forum, will examine how innovation can be introduced into the public sector.

Key themes under discussion in the seminar include:

• Innovative government – finding cost savings;
• ICT as a lever for change;
• Collaborating with citizens in transforming public services;
• The shared services model;
• Public sector case studies: innovation in action.

An expert speaker panel has been assembled to explore all these issues and determine how we can ensure that innovation in the public sector remains a priority. We are also pleased to welcome leading authority on innovation Charles Leadbeater, who will deliver the keynote address.

The seminar is structured in a way to provide a high level of interaction between speakers and delegates.
