Aer Lingus CEO

Stephen Kavanagh will replace incumbent Christoph Mueller who is set to take control of Malaysia Airlines. Kavanagh, a UCD graduate and Aer Lingus employee since 1988, assumed the position from 1 March.

Chairman Colm Barrington commented: “Stephen has worked for Aer Lingus for over 26 years … He has a commanding knowledge of both the company and the industry. I am particularly pleased that it has been possible and appropriate for an internal Aer Lingus executive to succeed to the position of CEO.”
