Aer Lingus CEO

Aer Lingus Group Plc has announced the appointment of its new CEO and Executive Director. Stephen Kavanagh will replace incumbent Christoph Mueller who is set to take control of Malaysia Airlines. Kavanagh, a UCD graduate and Aer Lingus employee since 1988, assumed the position from 1 March.

Chairman Colm Barrington commented: “Stephen has worked for Aer Lingus for over 26 years … He has a commanding knowledge of both the company and the industry. I am particularly pleased that it has been possible and appropriate for an internal Aer Lingus executive to succeed to the position of CEO.”
